What speeds can I expect from my Home Internet package?

MHlophe Tech Home Internet speeds cannot be guaranteed as several factors affect speed and quality of the connection which include, but are not limited to distance, weather, and interference around and within the property.

The device used plays an important role in us giving you a great speed experience, which is why we recommend buying your router from us. Also, because of the nature of the wireless network, we cannot offer any SLA's on the service.

How long does it take to activate after delivery?

After plugging your SIM card into the 5G compatible router, you should be active within 30 minutes after delivery. In extreme cases it can take up to 72 hours, but this is greatly doubtful. Should you have trouble connecting after 30 minutes, please reboot your device and try to connect again.

Can I use this service on the go or only at certain locations?

The MHlophe Tech Home Internet service is designed to be used for your home or business, and MTN will lock the service to the address for where you place an order to use the service.

Can I upgrade my Home Internet service?

Yes, upgrades can be facilitated via your Control Panel. You can upgrade your package anytime during the month, and then for the rest of the month you will be charged pro-rata.

Can I change services between Home LTE/Home 5G and Home Internet packages?

Service changes are only possible from older packages to the new Home Internet services.

Where can I check if I have coverage?

You can simply type in your address in the search bar above to see if you're covered for MHlophe Tech Home Internet.

How many wireless devices can I connect to my 5G router?

To get the best of your Home Internet experience, we recommend connecting up to 30 wireless devices on the router supplied by MHlophe Tech.

What happens if I sign up in the middle of the month?

Our Home Internet packages including our other services are charged pro-rata, so it doesn't matter whether you sign up for the service halfway through the month or at the end, you receive the data you will use for the rest of the month.

Do I need to RICA my SIM card?

Yes. You will need to have your original barcoded Identity Document, as well as a valid proof of residence. You will also be required to have a copy of your ID and proof of residence available when your SIM is delivered, and you (the account holder) must sign for it in person.

Do I need to change my APN settings?

If you order the 5G Router and SIM, we will preconfigure the 5G device that is shipped with your SIM - so you will not need to change any APN settings. If you order the SIM only, then you'll need to change your APN settings.

Which devices can I use with this service?

MHlophe Tech Home Internet has specific devices that can access the Home Internet service which have been network approved by the network provider. These devices are dependent on your selected network provider.
