VoIP Service Terms & Conditions

MHlophe Tech Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services enable customers to make and receive calls using an internet connection. These services are subject to the terms below in addition to the general Terms & Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Service Description

  • VoIP services convert voice communication into data transmitted over IP networks.
  • Service quality depends on internet connectivity, bandwidth availability, and network stability.
  • VoIP may be used for inbound and outbound voice calls, depending on the selected package.

2. Service Requirements

  • A stable broadband internet connection is required for optimal performance.
  • Minimum bandwidth requirements may apply depending on concurrent call usage.
  • Routers, SIP phones, and compatible devices are required for service use.

3. Call Quality & Limitations

  • Call quality may be affected by latency, packet loss, jitter, or congestion on the internet connection.
  • MHlophe Tech does not guarantee uninterrupted or flawless voice quality at all times.
  • Emergency call quality (e.g. emergency services) may be limited compared to traditional telephony.

4. Numbering & Porting

  • Customers may be assigned geographic or non-geographic VoIP numbers depending on availability.
  • Number porting from other providers may be subject to regulatory approval and processing timelines.
  • MHlophe Tech is not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers during porting.

5. Acceptable Use

  • VoIP services may not be used for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive communication activities.
  • Spam calling, call flooding, automated robocalls, or call bypassing is strictly prohibited.
  • Resale or redistribution of VoIP services without authorization is not permitted.

6. Billing & Usage Charges

  • Calls may be billed per second, per minute, or according to the selected pricing plan.
  • International call rates are subject to destination-based pricing and may change without notice.
  • Monthly rental fees for VoIP numbers and services are billed in advance.

7. Service Availability

  • VoIP services rely on power and internet connectivity; outages may interrupt service.
  • MHlophe Tech is not liable for downtime caused by third-party networks or infrastructure failures.
  • Maintenance or system upgrades may temporarily affect service availability.

8. Emergency Services

  • VoIP services may have limitations when contacting emergency numbers compared to traditional landlines.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring alternative access to emergency services where required.

9. Suspension & Termination

  • MHlophe Tech reserves the right to suspend or terminate VoIP services for misuse or non-payment.
  • Abusive calling patterns or fraudulent usage may result in immediate service restriction.

10. Amendments

MHlophe Tech may update VoIP service terms, pricing structures, and technical requirements at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
